Britney Spears Heads Off to the Studio

She's ready to take over the world of pop music following her big MTV VMA wins, and earlier today (September 16) Britney Spears was spotted on her way to work on her dance moves at a studio in Beverly Hills, California.

Meanwhile, a lawyer for the once-troubled pop tart is hard at work as he tries to get his "Gimme More" singing client out of a trial for misdemeanor driving without a license.

According to Access Hollywood reports, "Spears’ lawyer in the case, Michael Flanagan, said that he will file a petition on Thursday to ask the Superior Court of Los Angeles to accept their proof the star has a valid license. He wants the case dismissed and for Britney to be able to pay a $10 fee."

During the incident, which happened to be a fender bender with a parked Mercedes back in August 2007, Flanagan tells that Spears was "driving with a Louisiana license that was valid because she owns homes in that state."

The next hearing regarding Britney's misdemeanor driving charge is scheduled to take place this Thursday (September 18).

Pussycat Dolls: London Calling

They’re still riding high on their big win at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards for Best Dancing in a Video, and the Pussycat Dolls were spotted across the pond in London, England earlier today (September 16).

Nicole Scherzinger, Jessica Sutta, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, and Melody Thornton paid a visit to GMTV Studios for a promotional appearance, looking fit and fine.

For their new single “Whatcha Think About That,” the PCD collaborated with superstar hitmaker Missy Elliot, something they can’t stop raving about.

Of their new video shoot, Wyatt recently told press, "We threw down with Missy Elliott last night, and it was incredible. For the first time in my life, I was weak in the knees. I was completely starstruck. I had butterflies."

Scherzinger added, "Missy is so hot because she's the first female we've worked with on our album. And she's taking the Pussycat Dolls to a whole other level. We love you, Missy. We love this song. We hope you love this song. We got a lot of fun surprises. We're doing the Pussycat Dolls to the next power."

Selena Gomez's Healthy Outlook

Her new movie "Another Cinderella Story" hit store shelves today, and Selena Gomez celebrated with an afternoon out dining and shopping in Los Angeles.

Wearing a blue Boysclub t-shirt with jeans, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" starlet first grabbed up a bite to eat at Du-Par's before dropping by a local GNC for her nutritional needs.

As for her new movie, Selena told press: "This story definitely relatable not only for dancers…but people who have a dream that maybe a little far fetched like becoming an actress and becoming or a professional singer. So I think it just gives everyone a chance and an opportunity to think, 'ok there is hope.'”

Continuing on to talk about her real-life progress in finding her very own knight in shining armor, Gomez explains, “I don’t know, I am hoping it will be a surprise, I am very happy I am not looking but if it happens, great!”

Nick Jonas Takes a Birthday Stroll

Some celebrities rent out massive venues and throw extravagant parties to celebrate their birthday. But Nick Jonas would rather keep things low-key.

The “Burnin’ Up” stud was spotted taking his pet pooch for a walk outside of his Toluca Lake, California home earlier today (September 16), giving the paparazzi a thumbs up.

Together with his brothers Joe and Kevin, Nick helped field fan-generated questions on their MySpace page, talking about everything from marriage to career.

In response to the question “Would you ever date a fan?” they answered, "The answer is YES. We have already dated fans or girls that are not celebrities. In fact, we really like to believe that the girl we will spend our lives with will be our biggest 'fan.'"

But when it came to their current relationships, the boys kept tight-lipped. "It is our rule to not talk about our personal lives, especially who we are dating. The same would be true if we were dating you."

They also noted that their main focus will be their new TV show, with no major touring until next summer. "We are starting our TV show next week and will be busy with the show until then. We will be going out for special performances throughout the year. Hopefully, we can make it to your area but we will not be out on an official tour until June or July."

London Fashion Week: Jaeger London

Designer Karen Boyd for Jaeger London brought out Europe’s best for Fashion Week. This was the second season and what a season it was! Patterns and prints took on the runway.

"The summer collection is a real kaleidoscope of optimistic color and print, a magical mystery tour through an idyllic British summertime; poppies and rainbows, maypoles, daisy chains and turtle doves, elements of UK folklore distorted through a blur of heat haze," she said.

She also tried to be detail about contrasting, mixing high volume into the dresses yet making sure it flatters the body and is still tailored. Keeping it confident, bold colors were mixed with each part of an outfit. Her last show was also entertaining with mixed pieces that people loved. Following what to seems to be the season’s trend, she also stuck with sheer and her pieces were beyond chic.

Lindsay Lohan’s Ugly Betty Preview Party, Dinner Date

She’s looking happier than ever these days, and last night Lindsay Lohan was spotted out on a dinner date with her girlfriend Samantha Ronson at the swanky West Village eatery Da Silvano.

The “Mean Girls” actress and her deejay girlfriend were celebrating the big premiere of the new season of “Ugly Betty,” on which Lohan guest stars.

Earlier in the evening, Lindsay hammed it up on the red carpet outside the Diamond Information Center in a white tank top, black knee-length skirt, and red platform heels.

And much like her recent gig “Labor Pains,” it sounds like LiLo is really enjoying being back to work following her stint of personal turmoil. "It's been a great experience and everyone's been so wonderful to me," she told press.

London Fashion Week: 80s are back with Topshop Unique

It felt like you jumped into a time machine at Topshop Unique’s 2009 fashion show. Big hair, big shoulders, and denim vests all brought back reminders of when cell phones seemed non existence and Tiffany was back on the top charts.

Models were decked out head to toe in full 80’s wear. Wearing large bandanas on their heads, there were jumpsuits, denim pieces, shoulder padded jackets, high waisted pants, and oversized sweaters on the runway.

Patterns of course were bright and obnoxious just like the 80’s era. Stone washed denim also made a come back during the show. Bandanas were wrapped around each models head, one fashion trend we didn’t ever think would be back. Leggings also brought back memories and belts were used to accessorize around waists.

Staying on note of Topshop Unique, they have just announced that they will be opening a “denim clinic” to help shoppers find that perfect pair of jeans, to make the search easier and less frustrating for everyone. One on one advice and fittings will be held at the Oxford store between 1 and 6pm daily.

Although I cannot see anyone typically walking down the street in a heart print jumpsuit anytime soon, many of the pieces could be pulled off and wearable. One thing the designer did decide to do for the first time? Stick to the age group that actually buys the clothing. Directing it on the younger audience, may just help them out for 2009. Bring on the 80’s!

Miley Cyrus Steps Out in Santa Monica

Spending the day side-by-side, Miley Cyrus and her mother Leticia were spotted out paying a visit to a friend's house in Santa Monica on Monday evening (September 15).

Also accompanied by her grandmother, the Disney starlet smilingly posed for the paparazzi while looking cute in a black top, starry-themed skirt and a pair of Chuck Taylor's.

Meanwhile, more details have come forward about Miley's possible hunky new boy toy, Nashville star hunk Justin Gaston.

According to People magazine reports, Gaston, 20, is "a friend from Nashville." The two met when he was a contestant on Nashville Star, with Gaston’s rep, Allen Osborne, saying: “He's visiting L.A. for the week.”

And though a source close to Miley says, "They've been spending a lot of time together while he's in town," Gaston's rep mentioned that his client "had a 'crush' on Taylor Swift for quite a while."

Britney Spears: Starbucks Sweetie

Still riding high on her big night at the MTV Video Music Awards last week, Britney Spears was spotted picking up a luscious libation at her local Starbucks café earlier this afternoon (September 15).

The “Piece of Me” songstress looked cute and colorful in a pink tank top teamed with a pair of white cutoff shorts and matching white flip flops as she emerged with her Frappuccino blended beverage.

As for her big comeback album, it sounds like we’ll be getting some new Spears tunes before the year’s end, according to a recent report.

Brit’s new single “Womanizer” is schedule to drop September 22nd, with her full-length LP Circus hitting stores December 2nd, which also happens to be her 27th birthday.

Heidi Montag’s Birthday at the Park

While they’re usually known for their overdone, lavish lifestyle, earlier today Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt took a decidedly low-key approach to a very special day.

The peroxide pair was spotted enjoying a casual afternoon at Will Rogers State Park in celebration of Heidi’s 22nd birthday, complete with a picnic, presents, roses and balloons.

Miss Montag looked casual-yet-sexy in a white tank top along with a short black miniskirt and a pair of black studded ankle boots, while Pratt wore a plaid button-up shirt teamed with black trousers and black sneakers.

And according to Spencer, he and Heidi will soon be immortalized in their very own plastic dolls. He told press, “We just talked to Mattel, and we are already working on our own Ken and Barbie.”

Lauren Conrad Hits the Red Carpet for Sony

Back out on a trip to New York City, Lauren Conrad attended a Sony Product Preview event showcasing the latest in Vaio laptop designs on Monday evening (September 15).

The Sony Vaio "My Graphic Splash" Contest Party was held at the Mansion Club in the Chelsea district of Manhattan, with LC hitting the red carpet in a blue and gold Egyptian-style dress with a pair of super-high strappy heels and a Chanel purse over her arm.

Meanwhile, Miss Conrad recently offered up some info about her dress design for Sunday night's Primetime Emmy Awards, explaining: "I did green because green [is the] theme for the Emmys this year."

LC also mentioned that she plans on "using a diamond brooch, signifying the Emmy's 60th anniversary, to accessorize the gown."

Ashley Tisdale Kick-Starts the Work Week

Getting a caffeine jump-tart to her week, Ashley Tisdale made a quick visit to her Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf before heading to a recording studio in Los Angeles, California on Monday (September 15).

The Disney starlet looked cute in a grey v-neck t-shirt, vintage washed jeans with a white belt and sandals with an oversized black Chanel bag topped off with a striped newsboy cap.

Meanwhile, the countdown continues as the release of "High School Musical 3: senior Year" is just over a month away - hitting theaters on October 24th.
