London Fashion Week: John Rocha 2009

Glamorous doesn’t even give John Rocha justice to describe his show in London during Fashion Week. His notes about the show called it, “a certain duality.” His collection created an angelic look on his models and Rocha managed to do another year of a beautiful collection.

The saintly models, face powdered and hair pulled back neatly, wore lace knitted dresses, flowing ball gowns, tweed jackets, draped skirts as well as pencil skirts. Almost each item fit tightly at the waist, then flowed out to a full shape.

With the beautiful flowing fabrics, it looked serene in the colors of coral, aqua, cobalt blue, and yellow. Creams, light pinks, and earth color tones also were present. Sequins and lace played up the models innocent looks.

Rocha loves to push fashion to the limit, yet making it wearable. The pieces were stunning and promising for 2009.

Avril Lavigne Takes Fashion to Tokyo

Not only is she a chart-topping songstress with countless sold-out shows under her belt - Avril Lavigne is also a funky fun clothing designer!

And yesterday (September 14) she was spotted at a fashion show in Harajuku, Tokyo, showing off the latest looks of her fresh young clothing line Abbey Dawn.

Lavigne is currently on tour in Japan, and took advantage of some time off to plug her clothing label, which is doing quite well so far. And according to a source, there were hundreds of fans waiting in line for hours just to catch a moment’s glimpse of her.

If you happen to be in Japan, make sure and catch Avril tomorrow night (September 16th) in Tokyo, September 17th and 18th in Nagoya, and September 20th & 21st in Osaka.

Britney Spears Plans Birthday Album Release

To all of you Britney Spears fans out there, the "Gimme More" singer has decided to give you a gift on her very own birthday! She will release her sixth album Circus, on December 2, which is also the same day the pop princess turns 27.

Spears, who snagged three VMAs including video of the year, best female video and best pop video, isn’t hesitating on getting her new album out. The disc, Circus, continues to explain the ups and downs Ms. Spears has had throughout her career.

Her Atlanta production team announced that her new single “Womanizer” will drop on September 22 and fans are ready for it. Other producers helping out Ms Spears includes Dr. Luke, Danja, Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant and Guy Sigsworth, all whom have worked with other big artists such as Madonna and Alanis Morissette.

Spears has sold more than 62 million albums around the world including, Baby One More Time, Oops!…I did it again, In the Zone, and Blackout. She has held eight number one worldwide singles and four number one albums. Will she do it again on her new album? It looks promising.

Audrina Patridge: Coffee Chick

With such fast-paced careers, it’s a wonder celebrities are able to keep up. And over the weekend, Audrina Patridge was spotted fueling up with a caffeine fix.

The “Hills” hottie made her way to a West Hollywood Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf café for an energy boost as she went about her busy day.

And Miss Patridge looked ‘80s-chic in a white screenprinted deep v-neck top with a pair of sandblasted grey jeans and white sandals.

Coming up this Saturday (September 20th), Audrina will be making a special guest appearance on an all-new episode of MADtv. Sketches like “Audrina Brings the Drama” will play on her reality TV fame.

Jennifer Lopez’s Foot Injury Fiasco

As previously reported by the Gossip Girls, Jennifer Lopez pulled out of her “Project Runway” guest judging duties at the last minute due to a foot injury. But, interestingly enough, she was fit and fine to participate in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon just two days later.

And the whole ordeal has the folks over at PR calling foul. According to a source, host Heidi Klum was furious at J. Lo’s failure to show up for the show’s season finale. "Heidi went from one big-name judge for the finale to none. It was embarrassing, especially the excuse that (Lopez) was hurt."

An insider revealed that perhaps Lopez’s actions were a retaliation against “Project Runway” producers The Weinstein Company after they shunned her for a movie role. "Jennifer was hoping for a part in an upcoming Weinstein film, and she was told the day before (the 'Project Runway' show) that she wasn't getting it. She was angry, so she pulled out."

But Jennifer’s people say that isn’t the case at all. "(Lopez) pulled out (of "Runway") because she had an injury and had to have it rehabbed so she could compete (in the triathlon). (Lopez) has no issues with Harvey (Weinstein)."

Brooke Hogan Heats Up Miami Beach

Taking full advantage of the beautiful weather in southern Florida, Brooke Hogan was spotted splashing in the water with her roommate Glen yesterday (September 14).

The “Brooke Knows Best” hottie was turning heads left and right as she pranced around in the ocean, sporting a white bikini top with a red bottom, showing off her “Redemption” lower back tattoo.

In related news, Brooke recently told press that though her parents’ divorce has been tough, she’s had some amazing friends to help her make it through the rough times.

“I just have to constantly surround myself with friends — you don’t need drugs to get through the hard times when you have people that make you laugh. They make light of all my bad situations. When my parents divorced, my friends were all like ‘hey, at least you can move out now.'"

Jessica Simpson: Ready For Monday Night Football

With the release of her country debut last week, Jessica Simpson has been in the limelight, doing all kinds of appearances and interviews. And over the weekend she paid a visit to the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Chase Field for an exciting performance.

The “Come on Over” songstress donned a silk multicolored shirt teamed with a pair of flair-legged jeans and ivory-colored platform shoes.

Jess’ boyfriend Tony Romo has a big Monday Night Football game tonight against the Philadelphia Eagles, and during an appearance on Good Morning America last week she did a little trash talking about how the Cowboys would kick the Eagle’s butts.

Then again, after the drama surrounding last year’s pink jersey incident, it’s no wonder Miss Simpson is getting vocal about the big game.

Lindsay Lohan Jets Out of LAX, Punches Pap

Her frequent flyer mileage account must be massive, and yesterday Lindsay Lohan was spotted once again getting ready to fly the friendly skies.

The paparazzi caught up to the “Mean Girls” actress as she was dropped off by her girlfriend Samantha Ronson at LAX International Airport, making her way inside to the security checkpoint.

Soon after her arrival in New York City, LiLo found herself in the center of more controversy as she flew off the handle and punched a paparazzo in the face outside the Bowery Hotel.

According to a witness, Lindsay tripped over a metal barricade while chatting on her mobile phone. And apparently she thought the shutterbug had tripped her, because she wound up and socked the guy in the face.

Hayden Panettiere's On-Set Smooch Session

We’re used to seeing her getting cozy with her boyfriend/Heroes co-star Milo Ventimiglia. But yesterday (September 14), Hayden Panettiere was spotted locking lips with a different dude.

But it wasn’t an act of cheating - the Save the Whales Again activist was on the set of her current movie “I Love You Beth Cooper” filming scenes with her co-star Paul Rust.

And Miss Panettiere looked totally hot in a sexy strapless merlot-colored dress as she spent the day on the Los Angeles, California set.

“I Love You Beth Cooper” is about a nerdy valedictorian who proclaims his love for the hottest, most popular girl in school during his graduation speech. It hits theaters March 27th, 2009.

Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers Support City of Hope

It was a big night in Los Angeles on Sunday (September 14), as Disney partnered with City of Hope to hold a benefit concert featuring Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers.

Also featuring the Jonas Brothers' opening act, Demi Lovato, the Gibson Amphitheatre show helped support cancer research and treatment programs at City of Hope.

“We are honored and grateful for the generosity of Disney, Creative Artists Agency and the dedication of Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers in supporting the lifesaving work of City of Hope,” said Michael A. Friedman, M.D., president and chief executive officer, City of Hope. “This Concert for Hope demonstrates their commitment to improving the lives of patients with cancer and to helping create a future in which cancer is not only treatable, but curable and preventable.”

Last night's star-studded performance continues in a line of charitable giving to the organization from both Disney and Miss Cyrus, as last year, Disney donated $1 from every ticket sold during her highly successful “Best of Both Worlds” concert tour - raising more than $1 million.

Selena Gomez Premieres "Another Cinderella Story"

Out promoting her latest venture, Selena Gomez attended the premiere of her straight to DVD movie "Another Cinderella Story" at the Grove Pacific Theaters in Los Angeles on Sunday (September 14).

Meeting the press and lots of eager fans, the 16-year-old Disney starlet smilingly posed alongside co-star Andrew Seeley as they promoted the Damon Santostefano directed flick.

Being watched over by a full security team, Selena looked covergirl cute in a grey belted mini dress paired with matching open-toed heels.

As for her new movie, "Another Cinderella Story tells the tale of "A guy (Seeley) who danced with what could be the girl (Gomez) of his dreams at a costume ball, but only has one hint at her identity: the Zune she left behind as she rushed home in order to make her curfew. And with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in front of him, he sets out to find his masked beauty."

Miley Cyrus: Hunky New Boy Toy?

Enjoying the company of Nashville Star hunk Justin Gatson, Miley Cyrus had an action-packed Saturday (September 13), as she was surrounded by family and friends during a Pasadena outing.

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Miley spent the afternoon hanging with her gal pal at Coffee Bean. But the most interesting part of the Disney starlet's day came prior to her caffeine stop.

The 15-year-old "Hannah Montana" singer/actress was spotted playfully poking and laughing with a chiseled young male companion, with the duo, along with Miley's family, going to church together before grabbing lunch at the Cheesecake Factory.

And with Cody Linley telling press that he and Miley are just friends, it looks as if Miss Cyrus may be venturing into the dating pool away from her fellow Disney stars!

Jennifer Lopez: First-Class Triathlete

Not far removed from giving birth to twins, Jennifer Lopez made her way through the Nautica Malibu Triathlon, finishing in three and a half hours on Sunday morning (September 14).

Raising her arms in the air as a victory, J. Lo smiled as she crossed the finish line after swimming, biking and running. "Thank you guys so much. This is an amazing day,” she told event onlookers.

Lopez got her inspiration to race while pregnant, as she told ABC's Good Morning America: "I was beached like a whale. I was watching TV, and I saw a triathlon and I said, 'You know what? I think I could do that, that would be great for me to do. Maybe I'll do it this year.'"

Getting back into shape after having her twins in February wasn’t the only thing that was rewarding to her. "I feel really great and so glad I finished and that I made it out of the water but more amazing than that, I feel really great that we raised $127,000 for the Children's Hospital and hopefully it'll go to good use," Lopez said.

Meanwhile, hubby Marc Anthony cheered on his wife from the sidelines, with the two sharing kisses in between the biking and running sections of the race. When Lopez reached the finish line, she joined him as well as her family and fellow racer Matthew McConaughey in the VIP area. Supporting McConaughey was girlfriend Camila Alves and their child Levi.

“Swimming is a killer," Lopez explained. "I'm not going to lie." The whole event was able to get $950,000. Fans supported her and threw up high fives when they saw Jenny from the block in on the act. She joked around saying, she was going to finish, “even if she has to crawl across the finish line.”
