Paris with Balmain

Paris with Balmain

The show was super sexy from designer Christophe Decarnin's Balmain, baring lots and lots of legs. This was one show that every girl wanted to get into. The show was perfect to start off Paris fashion week with its chic rocker look and 80’s Madonna music.

Carrying on the 80’s theme, Balmain’s models sent off a strong youthful energy. Michael Jackson inspired jackets were worn with vintage style stonewash ripped jeans, and studded sandals, giving off a rocker chick vibe. Dresses were ultra short. The collection consisted of bandage-wrapped dresses along with dresses with large ruffles or pieces that draped down beautifully in the back. Many dresses had a precise cut to it and included detailed embroidery.

Colors were fresh and didn’t necessarily stick to a theme-which was a good thing. There were blacks with silver and white linings, ocean blue, bright reds, white with black lining, dark green, and deep purple. Accessories were left off to not overbear the active outfits of the 80’s.

Balmain can easily give off an 80’s look with a twist, making it something we have not ever seen before. Each outfit looks wearable and not old fashion. His exclusive handy work always creates a huge fashion attack and other designers even get ideas off of his shows. He had a huge hit from his last season fashion show and it is sure to head in the same direction again.
